In the second clinical study, 26 patients with rheumatoid arthritis, 18 patients with osteoarthritis, and ten patients with high levels of ginger powder suffered from muscle discomfort for more than two and a half years.

A recent study in Southern California found that 30 osteoarthritis patients, both men, and women, were treated with 500 mg of guggul extract throughout one to two months.
