It is amazing to me how many people are interested in CoolSculpting, and the possibility of losing fat without having to have surgery. People often ask me questions when they learn that I offer CoolSculpting. Usually, the conversation ends with me providing a quick consultation about their problem.
CoolSculpting may be right for you. More than 4 million CoolSculpting treatments have been completed.
These are some of the questions that I get asked all the time, and these are the answers that I would share with you as a friend.
Is It Effective?
Yup. It sure does. Study after study has shown this. It works every day in my practice.
Who is eligible to be treated?
You are eligible if you have a lot of pinchable fat. You are the bestcandidate if you weigh in at least 10-15 pounds below your ideal body weight. CoolSculpting has been proven to be a great option for skin tightening.
coolsculpting dallas is a non-surgical way to reduce fat. Coolsculpting is basically freezing fat that you don’t want to be frozen. The technical name for CoolSculpting, cryolypolisis is cell death by extreme temperature. This magical process can be summarized briefly by:
Step 1: The applicator is applied to the area of subcutaneous fat that you do not want.
Step 2: The applicator provides controlled cooling to fat cells through the extraction of heat energy
Step 3: The skin, muscles, and nerves surrounding the structure are safe as much lower temperatures could permanently damage them
Step 4: Fat cells are natural dead, and inflammatory cells enter to digest any remaining fat cells
Step 5: The lymphatic system removes the lipids in the fat cells.
Step 6: 12 weeks later, you will notice a reduction in fat around the treated area (25% per treatment).
Results last forever… even if your weight increases
CoolSculpting permanently eliminates fat cells. The body doesn’t make fat cells. The existing fat cells that are already present will grow if you gain weight. Those fat cells shrink if you lose weight. If you gain enough weight, your CoolSculpting results will be obscured by the enlarged cells in the area. If you lose weight, you’ll see your CoolSculpting results.
Why are they so expensive?
You might think you can get away with paying 100 bucks to remove permanent fat without any downtime and have similar results to liposuction. You’re paying for convenience, state-of-the-art technology, FDA approval and supply and demand. CoolSculpting is the only product that has any rivals. Zeltiq is the maker of CoolSculpting and has a patent for fat freezing technology that will last at least ten years.
What are some other fat-reduction technologies?
Before I purchased CoolSculpting, I spent considerable time researching the products available. They were even tested on me (my job can be quite challenging sometimes). Other FDA-approved devices use heat or lasers to kill fat cells. I considered many factors, including cost, number of clinical studies, strength of those studies and comfort level during the procedure. CoolSculpting met all these criteria. Because I am a practice owner, I can’t help but be selective about the technology I offer. Patient results are directly related to me and my practice.
It hurts! In fact, my friend who had it had to have pain medication afterward.
It sounds like your friend went with older CoolSculpting applicators. In my practice, I have never treated a patient with severe discomfort that required pain medication. This is due to the fact that I only use the most recent applicators. CoolSculpting’s technology is continually improving. This is a great thing. The older applicators were stronger and required a longer treatment period. The new applicators took only 35 minutes while the old one took 60 minutes. Both were tried out. After using the old method, my stomach was not happy for several days. The new ones were a huge improvement and a breeze. The abdomen is more sensitive than the other areas, but it doesn’t mean you have to stay down. It is normal to experience mild discomfort for a few weeks as you are changing your body permanently.
Why are all these applicators necessary? Why can’t I use one applicator only?
You’ve probably been to a consultation and seen the different sizes of templates used to determine how many applicators are needed to treat the area. It’s almost always more that 1. Years ago, we tried one applicator for one treatment. It didn’t work out. Everybody is different, so one size does not fit all. We can’t give you a price over the telephone because we don’t really know what you need until you see it in person. The number of areas that can now be treated has increased dramatically over the past decade, as well as the quality of the body sculpted by CoolSculpting.
